Design inspiration:
This pendant is inspired by the Qing Dynasty “mountain ghost spending money”, fully inheriting the Taoist cosmology of “the sky is round and the earth is square”. It is both a protective ritual object and a cultural token.
The round edge represents the sky, corresponding to the rising Yang energy in Huainanzi; The square hole in the middle is the earth, carrying heavy energy. The frontal rune replicates the Daozang’s decree of the Supreme Elder Lord and echoes the mountain spirit rune, which is traditionally believed to ward off evil and protect; The brin-rimmed cloud pattern is derived from the Daozang, symbolizing the flow of good fortune and the strengthening of the power to suppress evil, and the fragments of the ancient coin receive the earth energy, forming a closed-loop energy field of heaven, earth and man.
